Sounds like you've come to a resolution already. It sounds like a great idea to have a browser-based MMORPG which doesn't use flash. It means I could run it on Chrome without it being so laggy!

I'm here if you need a graphics designer or music composer. I'd probably be better at the 2nd one, I have no experience in designing graphics for games, I'm sure there are other more able designers eg. on DeviantArt who would be willing to help out.

Hai
Changing the display settings is still a major issue. First of all the available modes are not detected correctly and then changing them by xorg entry also fails. Also I dont understand why the display settings change at the first place!!

Getting the sound to work is another area that needs focus. Too many woes...particularly the fact that it sets itself to mute on restart

To move the panels hold down alt and drag them.
Is intended to minimize risk to people dragging them accidentally.
May seem crazy to us but I definitely saw this plenty while supporting windows desktops...and what was worse was that people didn't know what happened so just ignored it.
Can confirm the vlc bug but power manager is fine on my eeepc.

Sheepeatingtaz, I appreciate your reply but unfortunately the only one of those three you posted that is active is Tombuntu. Even then it sometimes goes weeks without being updated so it's not really what I'm looking for.

In my feed reader, I've got a few that you may find interesting: http://tombuntu.com/, http://ubuntu-unleashed.blogspot.com/ and http://thedailyubuntu.blogspot.com/

None are as polished as Lifehacker, but they do seem get featured on there occasionally!
